About Casablanca Services
Family-run since 2005. Based in Framingham, with a second yard in Everett and BPDA approval as a City of Boston mattress recycling vendor.
Twenty Years of Doing It the Slow Way
Our mission is simple: create a happy, healthy environment by delivering landscaping we're genuinely proud of.
Yacine Ibrahimi started Casablanca Services in 2005, right after finishing at Northeastern, with one goal in mind: community service. That sounds like the kind of thing every company website says. The difference is that twenty years later it is still the reason we take the work we take — including the work that is not especially profitable, like the mattress recycling that started as a public service problem nobody else wanted to solve properly.
The company grew the unglamorous way. No franchise, no private equity, no acquisition spree. Customers asked whether we could also do the patio, the fence, the snow — and instead of handing them to a subcontractor we did not know, we learned to do it ourselves. That is why we can put one crew on a property for every season, and it is why the person who designed your beds in year one is still reachable in year eight.
We take the time to listen to every customer, and we're all about giving back — working with the City of Boston and local nonprofits to lend a hand to those in need. That last part is not a marketing line bolted onto the end. It is where the city relationship came from in the first place.

How We Earned the City of Boston's Trust
In November 2022, Massachusetts banned mattresses from disposal. They can no longer legally go into a landfill or the regular waste stream. For the City of Boston, that turned a nuisance into a genuine waste-management problem: hundreds of thousands of residents, a constant churn of move-outs, and a material that is bulky, awkward and now illegal to bury.
The city's answer was to contract a vendor it had actually vetted rather than hope the open market behaved. That review is not a form you fill in. It meant opening our recycling process, our insurance, our operational record and our reliability to inspection before a single pickup was awarded — proving that what we collect genuinely gets dismantled and recycled to state standards rather than quietly re-routed to a transfer station.
We passed. We have kept passing. And the reason we could pass is the same reason the rest of this page is boring: we had already spent seventeen years doing the work properly when nobody was auditing us.
It is the one credential we lead with, because it is the one no competitor can copy. A rival can buy a truck, print a logo and undercut our price by Friday. They cannot award themselves a municipal contract.
What We Can Actually Prove
Every one of these is verifiable. We have deliberately left off the vague ones.

Twenty Years, Abbreviated
- 2005 Casablanca Services is founded Yacine Ibrahimi starts the company shortly after graduating from Northeastern University, with a single goal that has not changed since: community service. One truck, one crew, and a willingness to do the work properly.
- 2010s From lawns to full exterior services Customers kept asking who they should call for the patio, the fence, the snow. Rather than hand them to someone else, we learned to do it. Hardscaping, fencing and snow management become core services rather than favours.
- Statewide State contract work The company takes on state-wide contract work and begins working directly with the City of Boston — the relationship that later leads to the mattress recycling contract.
- Nov 2022 Massachusetts bans mattress disposal The state adds mattresses to its list of banned materials. Overnight, every household and property manager in Massachusetts has a compliance problem, and the market fills with haulers who take the mattress and ask no further questions.
- Today City of Boston BPDA vendor Casablanca Services is a BPDA-approved City of Boston vendor for mattress pickup and recycling — approved after the city reviewed our recycling process, insurance and operational record.
- 20+ years Still family-run, still here Two locations — Framingham and Everett — the same family running it, and a lot of properties we have maintained for longer than some of our competitors have existed.
One Crew, Every Season
The single most common complaint we hear about other landscapers is that a different set of strangers turns up every visit, none of whom know where the irrigation lines run or why that bed was laid out the way it was. That happens when a company subcontracts, or when it churns through seasonal labor.
We run our own crews. The same team works your property each visit, which is why they notice when something is off — the patch of lawn that is thinning before you have spotted it, the fence post that has started to lean, the downspout dumping against the foundation. That kind of noticing cannot be scheduled. It only comes from the same people seeing the same place repeatedly for years.
It also means that when you call, you are talking to the company that will do the work, not a dispatcher who will sell your job to whoever is cheapest that week.
